Men's Voice is a community-based, non-profit organisation built on a simple but powerful belief: every man and boy — no matter where he comes from — deserves to be heard, supported, and empowered to rise.
Founded in response to the growing vulnerabilities faced by boys and young men in Zambia's urban and peri-urban communities, we work at the intersection of education, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and gender-based violence. We don't just respond to crises — we get ahead of them.
We take a multi-layered approach from prevention to rehabilitation because lasting change requires meeting men and boys where they are.
We identify out-of-school boys aged 12–20 and support their return to formal education and vocational training, giving them the tools to build a future
Through structured community campaigns in 10 high-density compounds, we educate and redirect men and boys away from the cycle of drug and alcohol dependency.
We establish community-based psychosocial support groups and train local gatekeepers to identify and respond to mental health crises before they escalate.
We equip men to say no to gender-based violence — and yes to accountability. Our sessions challenge toxic norms and champion healthy masculinity.
Connecting vulnerable boys with trained mentors and peer educators who model integrity, discipline, and purpose, the traits that build tomorrow's leaders.
We work with the Zambian government, NGOs, churches, and traditional leaders to advocate for male-focused mental health services and stronger protections for boys.
We believe change starts with understanding. Here are answers to common questions about our work, our impact, and how you can support men and boys in vulnerable communities.
